The Peoples Choice award went to Ken Bridges for his painting “Hanging On.”
The theme of this year’s competition was “Sea and Shore.”
First Prize (Kathleen Oakley Trophy): Sue Barnes for O’r Môr (Of the Sea)
Highly Commended: Brenda Jones for Plastic Sea and Peter Barnes for Breaking Wave.
The judges for the competition theme ‘Last Light’, Nick and Kate Coldham artist and proprietors of ArtWorks, Aberdyfi. The winner is ‘Last Light’ by Glenys Lawson’. Highly commended goes to ‘Mawddach Sunset’ by Huw Lewis-Jones, ‘Llyn Peninsula’ by Jean Napier and ‘Purple Reverie’ by Valerie Land.
The People’s Choice winner is Ken Bridges with his work ‘Rain Clearing the Rhinogs’.

This exhibition will run from 19th – 31st August. Members please note that handing in/hanging day is 18th and take down/collect day is 1st September. Detailed information will be provided nearer the time. Note – the theme for the competition this year is ‘Last Light’. Happy creating!
