Katherine Keatley: Snowdrops – Promise of Spring

A wet felted wall hanging, made from a mixture of hand dyed fleece, if you look carefully there is even a little sparkle in there. I worked the piece by hand, laying the white flowers on top of a coloured background, then gently working and shaping them.  The sentiment is typed on my Mum’s old typewriter, onto rag paper.

Katherine Keatley: Hand embroidered Common Blue butterfly

The butterfly is a snippet of blue silk worked over wire so it will stand proud of the embroidered background.
